WHY USE THE SUNKEN TREASURE IN YOUR POOL? To have clean water, use less chlorine, breathe less chlorine fumes, and release less chlorine gas into the environment. EASY TO USE: By sinking to the bottom, the Sunken Treasure prevents toxic chlorine fumes from entering the air we breathe. With a floater, much of the chlorine in the tablets dissipates into the air. The Sunken Treasure eliminates the need to overfill the dispenser (Use 1 chlorine tab in Sunken Treasure) because it uses all the chlorine, eliminating waste. In addition, the chlorine distributed reaches your entire pool instead of the top surface. Traditional floating distribution systems only disperse chlorine on the water surface never reaching the bottom where bacteria and algae breed. The Sunken Treasure chlorine tab dispenser was carefully designed and engineered to work very well with in-ground pools across the country and are especially well-suited for desert climates that have summers with triple digit temps and low humidity. TESTING YOUR POOL CHEMICALS: When using the floater chlorinator, most pool owners constantly test the water. Usually the chlorine readings are high, but that doesn't tell the whole story about your pool because there is little to no chlorine at the bottom. Since the chlorine tab housed in the Sunken Treasure is sitting on the bottom of the pool, all chlorine dispensed is limited by the thermo-cline. The thermo-cline normally is about 2 feet below the water surface. The chlorine water tests show will often show little or no chlorine because the water sample is taken well above the thermo-cline. As long as the water is clear and blue, you DO NOT need to test your pool water for chlorine. NOTE: Not recommended for above ground vinyl pool liners or dark plaster pools as chlorine may cause fading.
